Adenoid facies can be partially corrected with braces, but cannot be fully corrected with braces alone. Adenoid facies is a condition caused by abnormal facial development due to adenoid hypertrophy, which can lead to symptoms such as elongated jaws, misaligned teeth, thickened lips, stagnant faces, and protruding jawbones. For patients with adenoid facies, the phenomenon of teeth misalignment or protruding teeth can be effectively corrected by wearing braces, but patients should also use adenoidectomy in order to effectively alleviate the symptoms caused by the disease. Additionally braces can only correct abnormal tooth alignment and cannot change all of the structural problems caused by adenoidal hypertrophy. In fact, once an adenoid facies is formed, the likelihood of recovery is relatively low and can result in the coordination of the patient’s five senses being directly and adversely affected. Therefore, parents must be careful when taking care of their children, and if they notice any suspected symptoms of adenoid facies, they should seek medical attention as soon as possible, and actively cooperate with the doctor to intervene in the treatment.
