Period means menstruation. If the child menstruates after the age of 8, no treatment is needed. If menstruation occurs before the age of 8, it indicates precocious puberty and there are treatments available, e.g. medication, general measures, etc.
Normally, females should develop secondary sexual characteristics after the age of 8, such as menstruation, breast enlargement, and pubic hair growth. If menstruation occurs before the age of 8, treatment is required.
There are treatments for children with precocious puberty, such as subcutaneous injections of gonadotropin-releasing hormone analogs such as goserelin and leuprolide, as prescribed by the doctor. Secondly, gonadotropin drugs such as Amnion Progesterone can also be given orally to inhibit the secretion of gonadotropins from the hypothalamus-pituitary gland and alleviate the phenomenon of precocious puberty.
In terms of daily diet, avoid giving your child food containing estrogen, and try to give your child seasonal vegetables and fruits. If the child has menstruation before the age of 8, parents should take the child to the hospital for treatment, otherwise the child’s subsequent development may be affected.
