How long does it take to implant a tooth?

The first step of dental implant surgery will be CBCT examination of the missing teeth, and if the physical examination is qualified for implant surgery, implant treatment will be arranged. The implant surgery is generally divided into two phases: the first phase is to place the implant into the patient’s jawbone, which usually takes 30-60 minutes to operate, followed by anti-inflammatory treatment and stitch removal 7-10 days after the surgery. The second stage of surgery is usually performed at 3-6 months of age, and the main purpose is to place the healing abutment and form an epithelial cuff to facilitate the connection of the restorative abutment. This procedure usually takes about 30 minutes, and after the treatment is completed, the third stage of the procedure is usually performed in 7-15 days or about 2 weeks, i.e., mold removal. After the impressions are taken, the restorative abutments and crowns are selected and sent to the denture fabricator, and later, usually in about 1 week, the implants are placed, restored and cemented.
