It is normal to have streaks in the lungs after lung surgery. Streak shadows are usually an imaging manifestation that occurs after lung surgery, pneumonia, or after trauma or localized tissue fibrosis. After lung surgery, such as lung abscess or pulmonary herpetic resection, the lung tissues will be damaged to some extent, and it will take some time for them to recover, and a fibrotic scar will be formed, which will show up as a striated shadow within the lungs on imaging. Therefore, when striated shadows are observed in the lungs, in addition to the causes of pneumonia, trauma, interstitial lung disease, etc., it is also necessary to consider the scar left behind after lung surgery, which is usually a stable lesion and a normal manifestation that does not need to be treated.
