Patients with cervical cancer need an MRI. The accuracy rate of MRI in staging cervical cancer is 81-92%. Magnetic resonance has extremely high resolution for soft tissues and is capable of multi-sequence and multi-directional imaging, which can correctly determine the orientation and volume of the tumor, clarify whether there is paracervical infiltration, whether there is invasion of the vaginal wall as well as the extent of invasion of the vaginal wall, lymph node metastasis and other conditions. The adjacency of the cervical tumor to its anterior bladder, posterior rectum and vagina can also be well shown on the image. Magnetic resonance examination is able to find cervical tumor tissues, carry out staging, and decide the treatment plan; it can evaluate the postoperative treatment effect of cervical cancer, and also find out whether there is metastasis and recurrence of cervical cancer.
