Breast fibroids are benign tumors of the breast that are rarely cancerous, rarely recur after surgical removal, and are generally not serious. Breast fibroma is the most common benign tumor of the breast, accounting for about 75% of benign tumors. It occurs mostly in young women. Breast fibroids are mostly caused by abnormal estrogen secretion or abnormal increase in the sensitivity of fibroblasts to estrogen, resulting in overgrowth of local tissues to produce fibroids. Breast fibroids have no obvious symptoms, and can be touched by smooth, hard, elastic, slow-growing lumps, the size of which is not related to menstrual cycle, and the possibility of cancer is also low. Surgical excision is currently the best treatment option for breast fibroids, which can be cured after complete excision of the lump together with the peritoneum, and is less likely to recur after surgery. It is recommended that the patient should go to the breast surgery department for further examination and treatment as prescribed by the doctor.
