Eczema is an allergic skin disease caused by a variety of factors, characterized by intense itching, polymorphic lesions, symmetrical distribution, and a tendency to exude, which can occur on any body surface and is prone to recurrent attacks. According to the duration of the disease and the manifestation of the lesions, it can be divided into acute (Figure 1), subacute (Figure 2) and chronic (Figure 3). If hormone therapy is used for a long time, not only does the disease recur, but there are also significant side effects (Figure 4).

The comprehensive acupuncture program developed by our department according to the different characteristics of acute and chronic eczema has remarkable clinical efficacy, especially in shortening the course of the disease and controlling recurrence. It is often chosen among the following methods.

Prevention
1, diet avoid all hairy food category (such as cilantro, konjac, lateral root, peanuts, soybeans, hot pot, beef and mutton, smoke and brine, seafood products, wine, etc.) eat more fresh vegetables and fruits (except mango, litchi, etc.).
2, actively looking for the cause of allergies, it is recommended to do allergen testing. And avoid contact with allergens (in addition to diet, there are still animals: dogs and cats, insects, etc.; plants such as pollen, ginkgo, etc.; chemicals such as soap, metal, plastic, etc.; others such as heating, cold, sunlight, etc.)
3, facial all kinds of dermatitis should also avoid the use of cosmetics and skin care products, wash cold water face (especially sensitive people choose cold boiling water wash face) to avoid sun exposure.
4, bathing should not be too diligent, too hot, to (winter 5 ~ 7 days, spring and autumn 3 ~ 4 days, summer 1 ~ 2 days) a bath is more appropriate, do not soap and other stimulating products.
5, to ensure rest, keep the lesions clean, dry, avoid scratching. Loose underwear, preferably wearing cotton fabrics.
6, long-term application of hormonal drugs have great side effects, should be avoided.
