What does painless enlargement of lymph nodes mean?

Painless enlargement of lymph nodes means that the lymph nodes are enlarged without any symptoms such as pain or fever. Painless enlargement of lymph nodes may be caused by lymphoma, chronic leukemia, lymph node tuberculosis and other diseases, which need to consult doctor in time to find out the cause of the disease so as not to delay the condition.
1. Lymphoma: due to genetic and environmental factors, the lymphatic immune system is damaged, and the formation of tumor can be distributed to all parts of the body, and with the aggravation of the disease, it can be manifested as painless swelling of lymph nodes.
2. Chronic leukemia: It is a malignant blood disease in which abnormal white blood cells proliferate in the bone marrow, spleen and other hematopoietic systems due to genetic, radiation and other factors, resulting in the reduction of normal blood cells. Extramedullary infiltration of abnormal leukocytes can cause painless enlargement of lymph nodes.
3. Lymph node tuberculosis: due to low immunity, the respiratory tract is easily infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and the pathogenic bacteria spread through the lymphatic or blood pathway, infecting the lymph nodes, and then there can be painless enlargement of lymph nodes.
If you have enlarged lymph nodes, even if there are no other accompanying symptoms, it is recommended that you go to the hospital in time to find out the cause of the problem and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
