What happens when bilirubin rises after ercp surgery instead?

ercp surgery, i.e., endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, is to insert the tube, do imaging, stone removal, or tissue incision and pathological biopsy through the endoscope via the lower part of the bile duct; the bilirubin after endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, on the other hand, is considered to be elevated due to the factors of poor living habit, improper use of medicines, biliary obstruction, and combined chronic liver disease, and so on. 1. Poor living habits: After the operation, the liver function is damaged due to not paying attention to diet and good life style, eating too greasy or staying up too late, drinking alcohol and so on, thus the bilirubin is elevated. 2. Improper use of medicines: due to the postoperative use of drugs that have toxic effects on the liver, resulting in liver injury, the decline in liver function, resulting in weakening of the metabolism of bilirubin by the liver, thus resulting in elevated bilirubin. 3. Biliary obstruction: some patients may have residual stones in the bile duct or bile duct injury after surgery, resulting in biliary obstruction and poor bile excretion, which may lead to elevated bilirubin. 4. Combination of chronic liver disease: If the combination of chronic liver disease after the operation, causing damage to liver cells, resulting in bilirubin uptake, binding and excretion of obstacles, resulting in elevated bilirubin. If the bilirubin continues to rise after the operation and cannot be relieved, the patient should consult a doctor to clarify the cause of the disease in order to avoid delaying the treatment.
