Is renal pelvic urothelial carcinoma serious

Renal pelvic urothelial carcinoma is more serious, and if not treated timely, it will jeopardize patients’ lives. Epithelial cancer of renal pelvic urothelial tract is a kind of malignant tumor, which will cause patients to have blood in urine, resulting in strong tea-colored urine and washed flesh-colored urine, but in the early stage, patients usually don’t have the symptom of pain in urine, which is easy to be neglected. Tumor-induced urinary tract obstruction will cause pain, lumbar discomfort, acidity and distension; sometimes it will also cause renal colic; with the continuous growth of the tumor, it will lead to hydronephrosis, emaciation and anemia, etc. If the tumor is not treated in time and effectively, the cancer cells will spread and metastasize, which will pose a threat to the patients’ life and health. Renal pelvis cancer originates from urinary tract epithelium, and its biological characteristics are multi-point occurrence and easy recurrence. Since ureter and bladder mucosa are also urinary tract epithelium, renal pelvis cancer is often accompanied by ureter and bladder tumors. Therefore, its treatment mainly consists of surgery, and radical surgery for renal pelvis cancer is often performed to remove half of the urinary tract, including the kidney on the affected side, the ureter on the affected side, and part of the bladder. According to a study in China, the median time for recurrence of renal pelvic cancer after surgery was 12 months, and 17.2% of patients experienced recurrence. After diagnosing renal pelvic urothelial carcinoma, it is necessary to seek medical treatment in time to avoid aggravation of the condition.
