Baby micronutrient testing is usually not necessary.
Micronutrient testing refers to checking the amount of micronutrients through instruments, and the results are not accurate. There is no uniform and accurate international standard for micronutrient testing, and the micronutrient test result is only a reference value, while there are many factors affecting the result. Trace element deficiencies need to be determined by combining data reports and clinical symptoms. Therefore, micronutrient testing for babies is usually unnecessary.
Currently, it is required that micronutrient testing should not be carried out on children without diagnostic and therapeutic needs, and should not be used as a physical examination or other census program, especially for infants under 6 months of age.
Babies with symptoms of micronutrient deficiencies should be seen by a doctor immediately for a clear diagnosis and a scientific treatment plan.
