What are the consequences of spinal misalignment

Literally understood, subluxation of the spine indicates that the vertebrae and vertebrae are not in an anatomical position. There are two types of this condition: first, traumatic subluxation of the spine, which is manifested as a post-fracture dislocation, then this condition is more dangerous. Fracture subluxation occurring in the cervical spine may lead to tetraplegia, high cervical fracture dislocation, or even respiratory depression to the point of death of the patient. In the case of thoracic and lumbar subluxations, paraplegia can occur below the damaged level, as evidenced by loss of strength in the limbs, dysfunction in urination and defecation, etc. These patients require emergency surgical treatment; secondly, chronic subluxations, more commonly known as slippage, such as slippage of the lumbar spine, are often lumbar root isthmus fractures and subluxation of the vertebral body. Most present with manifestations such as chronic, persistent low back pain and lumbar spinal stenosis. In addition to lumbar pain, patients have difficulty walking long distances and experience weakness and numbness in the lower extremities, etc. In the long term, this group of patients also requires surgical treatment to improve their quality of life.
