Simple Method of Acquiring Spleen Acupuncture Points

The easy way to take the Spleen Yu point is to find the spinous process of the 7th thoracic vertebra, then count down 4 vertebrae as its vertical coordinate, and the midpoint between the posterior midline and the medial edge of the scapula as its horizontal coordinate.
Spleen Yu is an acupoint of the foot solar bladder meridian, located in the spinal region, under the spinous process of the 11th thoracic vertebra, 1.5 inches beside the posterior median line. The point is taken by first locating the spinous process of the 7th thoracic vertebra. The lower corners of the two shoulder blades correspond to the spinous process of the 7th thoracic vertebra. The 11th thoracic vertebra can be found by counting 4 vertebrae downward, thus marking the longitudinal coordinates of the Spleen Yu acupoint.
After the vertical coordinates have been localized, look for the horizontal coordinates, which are 1.5 inches to the side. The posterior midline to the medial border of the scapula is 3 inches, and taking its midpoint is 1.5 inches. This gives the location of the Spleen Point.
