Do all dogs carry rabies?

Not all dogs carry rabies.
Rabies is a zoonotic infectious disease caused by the rabies virus, which is legally classified as a Category B infectious disease in China, and all mammals can be infected with the rabies virus.
Although it is said that canines are the main susceptible animals to rabies in nature, not all dogs carry rabies. Dogs that have been raised with regular rabies vaccination in a timely manner are generally not infected with the rabies virus.
According to the Animal Epidemic Prevention Law of the People’s Republic of China, individuals who keep dogs must be vaccinated against rabies regularly in accordance with the relevant regulations. Moreover, when carrying a dog out of the house, care must be taken to take the relevant protective measures to prevent the dog from injuring people.
