How aortic stenosis is caused

Aortic stenosis has three main types of etiologies: 1) congenital; 2) autoimmune diseases, such as aortitis; and 3) atherosclerosis. All three types of diseases can lead to aortic stenosis, which is the main channel emanating from the heart connecting to other blood vessels throughout the body and is the largest vessel in the body. Its stenosis can lead to corresponding symptoms in patients, such as causing syncope, causing angina pectoris, and long-term aortic stenosis can increase the burden on the heart and eventually lead to heart failure. In the case of syncope, the patient will show symptoms such as dizziness, blackness or loss of consciousness. Because aortic stenosis can lead to insufficient blood supply to the heart, it can induce a decrease in blood supply to the heart, leading to angina pectoris. The treatment of aortic diseases, congenital diseases mainly rely on surgical treatment, through surgical intervention, such as aortic stenosis caused by atherosclerosis, is generally conservative medical treatment, in the case of ineffective conservative medical treatment, surgical intervention can be considered.
