Is a fractured toe a minor injury?

Patients with a toe fracture were subjected to a large external force at the time that caused the bone cortex to break, but it is still a minor injury with symptoms including pain, swelling and limited movement. Compression can lead to bone rubbing or a feeling of bone friction, or even deformity. The most important treatment is strict attention to rest and protection of the injured area is the best condition for recovery. Too much strenuous activity may affect fracture healing and even lead to fracture dislocation. Conservative treatment can be chosen for good alignment of the fracture site, with strict external fixation of the limb in a limb brace or cast, the need to elevate the affected limb, and the use of drugs that activate blood circulation and promote fracture healing. For severe displaced fractures, fractures involving joints need active surgical treatment, incisional internal fixation can be performed, postoperative rest incision care, timely removal of stitches to remove the internal fixation on schedule, other precautions and conservative treatment are the same.
