How many people get wisdom teeth?

Wisdom teeth usually appear at the age of 5-7 years old, form dental tissues at the age of 7-10 years old, and erupt at around 17-25 years old. The time of eruption varies from person to person, and if the wisdom teeth are completely blocked, they will not be able to erupt. Tooth formation begins with the tooth germ, followed by the formation of dentin, enamel and other body tissues. Under normal circumstances, wisdom teeth may erupt around the age of 17 to 25, and the exact time of eruption cannot be determined. If wisdom teeth are blocked, i.e., by neighboring teeth, dental tissues, soft tissues, they can only erupt partially or not at all. Some of the blocked teeth are located in the deep part of the jawbone, and may not be able to erupt for life. It is recommended to go to the hospital and consider removal of the wisdom teeth if the blockage is confirmed by X-ray examination.
