What’s with the watery discharge just after my period?

Watery discharge just after menstruation may be due to bacterial vaginitis, atrophic vaginosis, endometrial cancer and other diseases.
1. Bacterial vaginitis: it is usually caused by a combination of pathogenic bacteria, and is considered to be related to factors such as frequent sexual intercourse and multiple sexual partners. Some patients may be asymptomatic, while symptomatic patients may show an increase in vaginal discharge, which is dilute and thin, and thus may manifest as watery discharge just after menstruation. Some patients may also have vulvar itching and burning sensation.
2. Atrophic vaginosis: usually due to the degeneration of ovarian function, the body’s estrogen level decline and other conditions, and also with the decline in immunity, unclean sex, poor hygiene habits and other factors. Patients often have vaginal itching and burning sensation, and also have increased vaginal secretion, which is thin in texture and light yellow in color.
3. Endometrial cancer: generally, patients can be asymptomatic in the early stage, and with the development of the disease, patients will have symptoms such as vaginal bleeding and vaginal discharge, etc. It is recommended that patients have symptoms just after menstruation.
It is suggested that when patients have watery discharge just after menstruation, they should make a clear diagnosis in time and follow the doctor’s instruction to carry out specific treatment.
