Heart-kidney disharmony (heart fire, kidney yin deficiency, dysfunction of the physiological functions of the heart and kidneys) is the name of a Chinese medical condition, with symptoms such as insomnia, dizziness, hot flashes (bursts of fever) and night sweating (abnormal sweating after going to sleep, sweating stops after waking up). The Chinese medicines that can be taken for treatment include Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan, Qi Ju Di Huang Wan, Zhu Sha An Shen Wan and so on.
1. Symptoms: Symptoms of Heart and Kidney Disorder include insomnia, dizziness, hot flashes and night sweats, tinnitus and heartburn, hot flashes and night sweats, and lumbar and knee soreness and tenderness (a feeling of soreness and tenderness in the lumbar area and knees).
2. Medications: Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan, Qi Ju Di Huang Wan, Zhu Sha An Shen Wan, etc. are commonly used.
Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan: nourishes Yin and reduces fire (nourishes Yin essence and reduces fire), which can be used for hot flashes and night sweats, tinnitus and spermatorrhea, yin deficiency and fire (deficiency of Yin essence in the body, which results in hyperactive fire), and short and red urination (small amount of urination, dark yellow color).
Qi Ju Di Huang Wan: nourishing the kidney and nourishing the liver, can be used for Yin deficiency of the liver and kidney, blurred vision, shyness and blindness, tinnitus and dizziness. Not suitable for patients with cold and fever; avoid indigestible food.
Zhu Sha An Shen Pill: calming the mind (using drugs of heavy sedative nature to stabilize the mind), nourishing qi and nourishing blood (replenishing qi and blood in the body), it can be used for palpitations (rapid heartbeat, often accompanied by panic) and restlessness, insomnia and excessive dreaming, and chest boredom. Do not use if there is insufficiency of heart qi or if the heart is restless.
