Azithromycin for the treatment of early syphilis should need to be taken for 15 consecutive days, and late syphilis need to be used for 30 consecutive days.
1. Azithromycin: Azithromycin is a macrolide antibiotic that can be used for infections caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Chlamydia trachomatis, and Neisseria gonorrhoeae. For the treatment of syphilis, early syphilis needs to be taken for 15 consecutive days, and late syphilis needs to be used for 30 consecutive days. The syphilis titer will be checked after 3 months of stopping the medication.
2. At present, the first line of syphilis treatment is long-acting penicillin, and for penicillin-allergic patients, ceftriaxone sodium is usually used. Azithromycin is relatively ineffective.
Infection of syphilis is recommended to timely medical treatment, do not self-medication, so as not to delay the treatment of the disease.
