There is no such thing as six manifestations of Ascaris lumbricoides in adults. The general symptoms of Ascaris lumbricoides infection are not obvious, and some of them may have mechanical injury, hypersensitivity reaction, intestinal dysfunction and other manifestations.
1. Mechanical damage: As roundworms have the habit of drilling holes, when the host consumes a lot of spicy food or uses anthelmintic drugs improperly, roundworms will move and cause mechanical damage.
2. Hypersensitivity reaction: the heterogeneous protein possessed by the worms can lead to hives, itchy skin and other symptoms in the organism.
3. Intestinal dysfunction: As the worms parasitize the intestines, the nutrients eaten by the body will be plundered by the worms, and also damage the intestinal mucosa, leading to indigestion. Some patients will experience vomiting, nausea, and intermittent abdominal pain around the umbilicus.
Ascariasis is an infectious disease transmitted by fecal-oral route. Prevention of ascariasis requires good hygiene and dietary habits, not drinking raw water and washing hands before and after meals. Prompt medical attention is recommended when roundworms are present.
