The full process of IVF includes ovulation induction, egg retrieval, in vitro fertilization, embryo transfer, pregnancy and delivery.
1. Ovulation promotion: First of all, ovulation promotion is required, and a personalized ovulation promotion plan is formulated according to the age of the patient and the ovarian function.
2. Egg retrieval: When the eggs are mature and the follicle diameter is more than 18mm, the eggs are retrieved under ultrasound monitoring, usually 10-15 eggs are retrieved.
3. In vitro fertilization: the eggs are cultured in vitro and combined with sperm (which also requires laboratory processing) to complete the fertilization process and create embryos.
4. Embryo transfer: 1-2 prepared embryos are transferred into the uterine cavity, where there is a suitable endometrium for the embryos to grow.
5. Pregnancy and delivery: The pregnancy lasts from early, middle and late pregnancy until delivery.
Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART), a technology to solve infertility, is currently available in China for one, two and three generation IVF. Patients in need should choose the IVF technology that suits them under the guidance of professional doctors.
