(3) Temporomandibular joint disorders can also lead to soreness in the cheeks, which may be related to external impact, excessive opening of the mouth, jaw biting disorders, etc., and also manifested as difficulty in opening the mouth and chewing limitation, which can be treated with medication, such as ibuprofen and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs to alleviate the symptoms, glucocorticosteroid injection into the joint cavity, surgery and other treatments.
