Dermatophyte is the trade name and its generic name is Dexamethasone Compound Acetate Cream or Mometasone Furoate Gel. Dexamethasone Compound Acetate Cream is indicated for the treatment of limited pruritus, neurodermatitis, contact dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis or chronic eczema. Mometasone Furoate Gel is used for the treatment of eczema, neurodermatitis, atopic dermatitis and pruritus.
Prolonged application of Dexamethasone Compound Acetate Cream may cause skin atrophy, capillary dilatation, pigmentation and secondary infections. Adverse reactions such as allergy occasionally occur. It is contraindicated in patients who are allergic to any components of Dexamethasone Compound Acetate Cream, in patients with pus or obvious exudation on the affected area, and in patients with viral infection. Use with caution in pregnant and lactating women, pediatrics and athletes.
Local adverse reactions after the use of mometasone furoate gel are extremely rare and may include burning sensation, itching and stinging and skin atrophy. Prolonged heavy use may cause irritation reactions, skin atrophy, hirsutism, perioral dermatitis, skin infiltration, secondary infections, and streaky skin pigmentation.
Mometasone Furoate Gel should not be used on broken skin, pregnant and lactating women should use with caution, infants, children and the elderly with skin atrophy.
