However, since the 1980s, science has developed rapidly, and many new drugs have been introduced, and the level of epilepsy treatment has improved greatly. It has been proven that, overall, more than 80% can be cured. The cure rate for pediatric patients is even higher, with some types approaching 100% cure. Many people in China now mistakenly believe that epilepsy cannot be cured, is “incurable” and “will become stupid”.
