What’s with the smelly ears?

Smelly ears may be caused by cerumen impaction, bacterial infection and eczema in the ear canal.
1. Cerumen impaction: If the ear canal is not cleaned in time, earwax will accumulate in the ear, and the odor will appear after a long time.
2. Bacterial infection: when the ear canal is infected with bacteria, acute or chronic otitis externa will be formed, leading to the formation of inflammatory exudate and odor.
3. Eczema in the ear canal: when eczema occurs in the ear canal, it can lead to recurring sticky secretions, and if it is accompanied by a bacterial infection, it can lead to a foul odor.
There may be other reasons for smelly ears, so it is recommended to consult a regular hospital for relevant examination and targeted treatment.
