Surgical treatment of spastic cerebral palsy

Functional selective posterior spinal nerve root dissection (FSPR), which has been popular in Europe and the United States since the last century, is one of the most effective methods to relieve cerebral palsy spasticity, as proven by the practice of scholars at home and abroad. FSPR can effectively eradicate spasticity with very few side effects. FSPR is suitable for: 1. simple spastic cerebral palsy with muscle tone grade 3 or above; 2. limbs with certain motor function before surgery; 3. no obvious deformity of the spine, pelvis and limbs; 4. children with normal or near normal intelligence who can cooperate with post-operative rehabilitation training; 5. severe spasticity or stiffness of limbs that affects daily life care and rehabilitation training.
