There are many different kinds of myelodysplasia. It may be because the patient has leukemia, especially chronic granulocytic leukemia, a phenomenon that causes the bone marrow to be more active in hematopoiesis, so it can lead to myelodysplasia. There are also elderly people who have aplastic anemia, and they may also get myelodysplasia. If a patient has had bone marrow necrosis or has a heavy disorder, etc., this can lead to myelodysplasia. The condition of bone marrow hematopoiesis is not some kind of pathology. If the environment contains benzene-containing compounds, such as paint or gasoline, which can damage the body’s bone marrow and cause suppression of hematopoiesis, it can also lead to myelodysplasia. Therefore, if a patient develops myelodysplasia, the cause needs to be identified and then targeted for treatment.
