The baby’s lower eyelid swelling, may be mosquito bites, allergies, conjunctivitis, granuloma and other causes.
1. Mosquito bites: in the mosquito season, the baby’s lower eyelid swelling is likely to be caused by mosquito bites, be careful not to let the baby scratch, in order to avoid scratching caused by infection.
2. Allergy: babies in contact with dust mites, animal hair, etc., allergy symptoms may occur, also manifested as swollen eyes, often accompanied by itching, pain and other symptoms.
3. Conjunctivitis: an inflammation that occurs in the conjunctiva, usually due to microbial infections, external stimuli, the patient will have photophobia and tearing, foreign body sensation in the eye, edema and other symptoms. Infants and young children are more likely to have blocked tear ducts, leading to poor drainage of tears, which in turn leads to conjunctivitis.
4. Eyelids: acute purulent inflammation of the eyelid glands, often caused by staphylococcal infection, patients will mainly have redness, swelling, heat, hardness and pressure pain in the eyelid area.
