Gastrointestinal disorders after stoma reduction are usually self-healing.
The surgery for stoma reduction is a relatively routine procedure. It takes about 3 days after surgery for the gastrointestinal function to slowly recover. During this period, patients must be allowed to get out of bed appropriately, which can promote the recovery of intestinal function. After the stoma is returned, fasting is the mainstay in the early stage, and if the peristalsis of the gastrointestinal tract has been restored, the patient can eat gradually from less to more.
Patients should eat some light food, as far as possible, easy to digest food, avoid spicy stimulation and greasy food, such as millet porridge, milk, noodles and so on, avoid chili peppers, pepper and other spicy stimulating food. You can also go outdoors to do some exercise, to improve their own resistance to a certain extent, the patient should be followed up regularly for review.
It is recommended that patients actively treat, do not be discouraged or negligent, so as not to delay the disease.
