Is genital herpes HIV?

Genital herpes is not AIDS. Genital herpes is a common sexually transmitted disease (STD) caused by herpes simplex virus (HSV) infection, and AIDS is a disease caused by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection, which can be transmitted sexually, through blood, and from mother to child. Genital herpes and AIDS are two different diseases.
Genital herpes is caused by HSV infection of the urogenital organs and perianal skin and mucous membranes, and the virus can be divided into HSV-1 and HSV-2, mostly caused by the latter. AIDS, on the other hand, is caused by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection and can also be transmitted through sexual contact. These two are different sexually transmitted diseases.
The clinical manifestations of genital herpes are relatively diverse, some may be asymptomatic or mild symptoms, some may appear in the genital area pain, blisters, itching or ulcers and other symptoms, often chronic recurrent, and very difficult to cure.
Genital herpes is highly contagious and recurring, so if you feel unwell, it is advisable to go to the hospital as soon as possible.
