What to do if you have a pinhole in your eye

A pinhole in the eye, i.e., blepharitis, is also known as granuloma. It can be treated with early hot compresses, incision and drainage of pus, and application of anti-infective drugs. 1. Early blepharitis: mainly through local hot compresses to relieve symptoms and promote inflammation, generally hot compresses can be 3~4 times a day, 10~15 minutes each time, at the same time can be used locally antibiotics, such as tobramycin eye drops, erythromycin ophthalmic ointment and other anti-infection. 2. Abscess formation: If an abscess is formed, it should be incised and drained. External blepharitis should be incised on the skin surface parallel to the eyelid margin in order to keep it in line with the skin pattern, thus reducing scarring. For internal blepharitis, an incision perpendicular to the lid margin is often made on the conjunctival surface of the lid to minimize damage to the leptomeningeal ducts. 3. Spread of infection: The spread of blepharitis infection can lead to cellulitis of the eyelid, and in severe cases, septic thrombosis of the cavernous sinus or sepsis can occur. At this time, broad-spectrum antibiotics should be used systemically at the earliest possible time, such as cephalosporins or penicillin antibiotics, or drug sensitivity testing to select a more sensitive antibiotic. Eye long pinhole, should promptly seek medical attention, under the guidance of the physician to take scientific treatment, follow the doctor’s instructions to use drugs.
