If the baby is still jaundiced after 28 days, it is considered that the jaundice may be pathologic, and general treatment, medication and other treatments can be carried out for the treatment.
1. Drug treatment: intravenous immunoglobulin and albumin can be used as prescribed by the doctor, which can help to combine albumin and free bilirubin in the blood and reduce the level of bilirubin. In addition, liver enzyme inducers such as phenobarbital can be applied to reduce the production of bilirubin, and at the same time promote the metabolism of bilirubin, which is conducive to the recovery of jaundice.
2. Phototherapy is helpful to change the chemical structure of bilirubin, which can be easily dissolved in water and discharged through the kidney, thus promoting the disappearance of jaundice.
3. Blood exchange therapy: exchange part of the blood for free antibodies and sensitized red blood cells to reduce hemolysis; exchange a large amount of bilirubin in the blood to prevent the occurrence of bilirubin encephalopathy; correct anemia, improve the oxygen-carrying capacity, and prevent heart failure.
If the infant is still jaundiced at 28 days, he should seek medical advice as soon as possible to clarify the cause of the jaundice and then give targeted treatment. All of the above medications should be used under the guidance of a doctor, avoid self-medication.
