If the body temperature increases at bedtime, the problem needs to be considered from both Chinese medicine and Western medicine. From the point of view of Chinese medicine, an increase in body temperature at bedtime is usually caused by a weak constitution and a strong deficiency fire, often due to excessive deficiency of kidney energy or liver fire, which leads to an increase in body temperature at bedtime. From the perspective of Western medicine, there are several types of diseases that increase body temperature at bedtime: first, endocrine metabolic diseases, often due to hyperthyroidism and hyperadrenocorticism, there will be an increase in body temperature at bedtime. Second, increased body temperature at bedtime, and a history of diseases with increased basal metabolism, such as diabetes mellitus patients will have an increased body temperature at bedtime. Thirdly, increased body temperature at bedtime is also associated with infectious diseases, such as bacterial, viral, and pathogenic microbial infections, which can also lead to increased body temperature at bedtime, accompanied by fever. Fourth, in diseases of the immune system and connective tissue, such as tuberculosis, tumors, and rheumatic fever, there is an increase in body temperature at bedtime.
