Olmesartan’s effects

The main clinical role of olmesartan is to lower blood pressure. Olmesartan belongs to the ARB class of drugs, which is the angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor class of antihypertensive drugs, and can be indicated for hypertensive patients with edema, good renal function, and heart failure disease. Olmesartan can also improve ventricular remodeling and can be used in patients with acute myocardial infarction, after acute myocardial infarction coronary stent placement or after bypass surgery to improve ventricular remodeling, but there may be reflex hypotension after acute myocardial infarction, so the application of olmesartan requires attention to blood pressure changes and adjustment of the dosage of olmesartan. Olmesartan can also be used in patients with chronic heart failure to improve ventricular remodeling and improve the prognosis of patients with heart failure.
