Wei Ling Xian and Epimedium are two different herbs. Wei Ling Xian has the effects of dispelling wind-dampness, clearing channels and relieving pain (dredging the meridians and relieving pain), and eliminating bone fracture. It is mainly used for treating wind-dampness paralysis, bone carp and throat, bruises, headache, toothache, gastric pain, phlegm (pathological products formed by impaired metabolism of water and fluid), choking and diaphragm, women’s mass in the abdomen, and breast lumps. Caution should be exercised for those who are weak in qi and blood. Epimedium, with the effect of tonifying the kidney and yang (tonifying the kidney yang), strengthening the tendons and bones, dispelling wind and removing dampness (dispelling wind and dampness in the body). It is used for treating kidney yang deficiency (lack of yang energy in the kidneys), impotence and spermatorrhea, frequent urination, and rheumatism and paralysis. Adverse reactions: dry mouth, nausea, abdominal distension, dizziness, etc., most of which may disappear on their own. Specific medication needs to be under the guidance of a physician.
