What’s with the hiccups?

Burping all the time may be caused by functional factors, pathological factors (indigestion, gastritis, peptic ulcer, etc.).

1. Functional factors: eating faster, talking more, laughing, etc., inhaling a lot of gas to stimulate the diaphragm spasm caused by hiccups all the time; or eating gas-producing foods, such as carbonated beverages, soy products, potatoes, etc., the amount of gas produced inside the stomach increased resulting in hiccups all the time, usually a normal phenomenon, can gradually disappear on its own.

2. Pathological factors:

(1) dyspepsia: gastric insufficiency, food stagnation in the stomach increased gas production leading to bloating, burping and other symptoms.

(2) Gastritis, peptic ulcer: due to the decline in digestive function, the food in the stomach can not be digested in time, there may be burping all the time, accompanied by acid reflux, nausea, epigastric fullness and other symptoms.

It is recommended to consult a doctor in time to identify the cause of the disease and follow the doctor’s instructions.
