Glaucoma patients can follow the doctor’s instructions to use drugs to lower intraocular pressure, mainly including increasing aqueous humor outflow and inhibiting aqueous humor generation two types of drugs, such as travoprost, brinzolamide eye drops.
1. Increase the outflow of aqueous humor drugs: nitric acid Trichostatin eye drops belong to the choline effect of drugs, can narrow the pupil, open the angle of the atrium, increase the aqueous humor outflow. Prostaglandin derivatives can also reduce intraocular pressure and increase aqueous outflow from the suprachoroidal cavity, such as travoprost.
2. Drugs to inhibit atrial aqueous production: β-adrenergic receptor blocker drugs can reduce intraocular pressure by inhibiting atrial aqueous production, such as 0.25%~0.5% betaxolol eye drops. Patients may experience adverse reactions such as blurred vision and foreign body sensation after using the drugs.
Patients with glaucoma are advised to seek timely hospital consultation to assess their condition and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
