How to maintain cholesteatoma after removal

After the removal of cholesteatoma, it can usually be maintained through rest, regular review and postoperative exercise.
1. Rest: after the cholesteatoma is removed, patients need to rest in bed, try to take the side position, avoid shaking the head violently, so as not to damage the wound and delay the healing of the wound.
2. Regular review: after the cholesteatoma is surgically removed, usually 3 to 6 months to the hospital for a checkup to see if there is a need for further treatment. If there is any discomfort, you should report to your physician immediately for prompt treatment.
3. Post-operative exercise: cholesteatoma patients need to perform pharyngeal tube function training after surgery, which is an easy way to exercise. First, take a deep breath, then close your mouth and nose, and then spray a breath into your nostrils. At this point, you can clearly hear a subtle ringing sound. Then cover your nose with your hand and swallow the saliva to return the eardrums to normal.
After cholesteatoma surgery, patients should consult with the relevant doctor and maintain under his or her supervision.
