What is Family Medicine

Family medicine is a clinical medicine specialty that is oriented to society and family, and integrates clinical medicine, rehabilitation medicine and social humanities in one, and belongs to a secondary clinical subspecialty. Family medicine covers all ages, genders, systems and diseases, and its main theme is to emphasize human-centered, family-based, community-wide, holistic health promotion and health maintenance, and to integrate the health of individuals and groups. Family medicine focuses on providing primary health care, integrating the horizontal development of medical disciplines and related humanities.
