What causes splenomegaly and normal liver function

Splenomegaly with normal liver function may be caused by infectious factors, bruising, blood disease, connective tissue disease, spleen disease and so on. 1. Infectious factors: most commonly seen in viral infection, bacterial infection, spirochete infection, parasitic infection can cause splenomegaly, but liver function is normal. 2. Siltation: for example, chronic constrictive pericarditis, large amount of pericardial effusion and so on cause splenomegaly, but liver function is normal. 3. Hematological diseases: mostly seen in acute and chronic leukemia, hemolytic anemia, multiple myeloma, malignant lymphoma, hypersplenism and so on. 4. Splenic diseases: splenic tumor, splenic cyst, splenic malignant tumor, splenomegaly and normal liver function can occur.
