Mixed hemorrhoids are not treated with injections, which are used to relieve the symptoms of hemorrhoids by local injection of sclerosing agents. It is suitable for internal hemorrhoids with no symptoms of prolapse at stage I, or internal hemorrhoids with only minor symptoms of prolapse at stage II, while mixed hemorrhoids have both internal and external hemorrhoids, with internal and external hemorrhoids fused at the same point. Most of the mixed hemorrhoids are associated with severe prolapse symptoms. Injection therapy is mainly for internal hemorrhoids, but it is not a correct or good treatment for the external part of the mixed hemorrhoids. Therefore, it is recommended to perform external stripping and internal ligation of mixed hemorrhoids, and in the case of circumferential mixed hemorrhoids, PPH can be considered, plus external stripping and internal ligation.
