Location and function of Zhongdu acupoint

Zhongdu point is located on the lateral side of the thigh, 7 inches above the popliteal transverse stripe. Zhongdu point has the effect of relaxing the tendons and activating the channels (stretching the tendons and bones, dredging the meridians), dispelling wind and dispersing cold. Zhongdu point is an acupoint of the Foot Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian and is located on the outer side of the thigh, 2 inches below the Fengshi point, or 5 inches above the popliteal transverse line, between the lateral femoral muscle and the biceps femoris muscle. The easy way to take the point is to ask the person to take an upright position or sitting position, from the location of the Feng Shi point straight down to measure 2 horizontal fingers, between the two tendons can be pressed a depression, localized soreness and distension, that is, the location of the Zhong Dushi point.
