Ovulation can be monitored by vaginal ultrasound and basal body temperature.
1. Vaginal ultrasound: Starting from the 6th to 10th day of the menstrual cycle, vaginal ultrasound is used to measure follicular development. When the average diameter of the follicle is ≥12mm, the follicle will be monitored every 2 days; when it is ≥15mm, it will be monitored every other day; and when it is ≥18mm (mature follicle) it will be monitored once a day until the follicle is finally collapsed and the egg is discharged.
2. Basal body temperature measurement: take the temperature in the morning, if when the temperature appears to rise 0.2℃~0.5℃ for 3 consecutive days compared with the previous one, it is regarded as biphasic, and then it can be initially judged as around the day of ovulation.
In addition, ovulation can also be monitored by ovulation test paper. Monitoring of specific ovulation is recommended to follow the doctor’s advice.
