Knee meniscus injury of 2~3 degrees is relatively serious, while it should be judged with clinical manifestations and should be taken seriously.
The grading of knee meniscus injury is mainly based on MRI examination, which can be generally divided into 3 degrees.
1.1 degree: MRI shows spherical or elliptical high signal shadow in the meniscus, but it does not reach the joint surface, which mostly belongs to slight injury or normal meniscus degeneration.
2.2 Degree: MRI shows a linear high signal shadow in the meniscus, which can extend to the meniscus joint margin, mostly caused by improper exercise or trauma of meniscus degeneration, and it is a moderate injury.
3.3 degree: MRI shows that the high signal shadow in the meniscus has reached the joint surface, and even the meniscus structure is broken, etc. At this time, the patient’s meniscus has been completely torn, which belongs to the severe injury, mostly due to the external impact, twisting and so on.
Patients with 2 to 3 degrees of meniscus injury of knee joint, if accompanied by pain, swelling, joint popping or joint interlocking and other clinical manifestations, should attach great importance to timely medical treatment, under the guidance of the doctor to carry out professional clinical treatment and rehabilitation training.
