Difference between Isongong San and Si Jun Zi Tang

The differences between Yi Gong San and Si Jun Zi Tang are composition, utility and main treatment.
1. Difference in composition and function: Isokong San is from the “Direct Record of Pediatric Pharmacological Evidence”, which is composed of Sijunzi Tang and Chenpi, and its function is to benefit qi and strengthen the spleen, and to move qi and remove stagnation. Si Jun Zi Tang is from “Taiping Hui Min He Diao Bian Fang”, composed of ginseng, atractylodes, poria, licorice, and its function is to benefit qi and strengthen the spleen.
2. Difference in treatments: Xigong San treats deficiency of qi in the spleen and stomach with qi stagnation, which may include loss of appetite, chest tightness, vomiting and loose stools; Si Jun Zi Tang treats deficiency of qi in the spleen and stomach, which may include a pale complexion, loss of appetite, shortness of breath, and a low tone of voice.
The adverse reactions and contraindications of Xigong San and Si Jun Zi Tang are not clear.
