What’s wrong with the swollen, sore and large nipples?

A significant swelling and enlargement of the breasts is commonly caused by mastopexy. The compensatory hyperplasia or overgrowth of the breast glands can lead to larger breasts, and the patient may also experience regular pain, which is caused by endocrine disorders and can occur during adolescence or in middle-aged patients, with nodules and lumps in the breast glands. Some patients are also affected by malignant tumors in the breast, commonly breast sarcoma, which originates from mesenchymal tissue and is prone to hematogenous metastasis, manifested by breast enlargement, pain and dilated blood vessels in the breast skin, and should be actively treated with surgery. Usually the breast gland is excised and the mammary gland is removed without axillary lymph node dissection.
