Enlarged lymph nodes imply localized inflammation or a tumor, in short, an abnormal condition. There are many causes of enlarged lymph nodes, including viral, bacterial, parasitic, fungal, and tuberculosis infections, as well as non-infectious diseases, such as metastases from malignant tumors, and diseases of the lymphatic system, such as lymphoma. Once the lymph nodes are enlarged, it should be combined with the person’s own discomfort, signs of abnormalities and further laboratory tests to determine the cause of the enlarged lymph nodes.
