What’s going on with hormone withdrawal syndrome?

Hormone withdrawal syndrome is supposed to refer to a series of symptoms that occur when glucocorticoid hormones are suddenly stopped. Glucocorticosteroid hormones, also known as adrenaline, are a naturally occurring hormone in the body that is secreted by the adrenal glands. If this glucocorticosteroid hormone is taken orally in large quantities over a long period of time, it is not secreted by the adrenal glands of the body. So when one day suddenly stop taking glucocorticosteroids adrenal hormones, a series of symptoms will appear, such as mental depression, general fatigue, lack of energy, depressed, sleepy, and sometimes the original disease will be aggravated. Therefore, when taking glucocorticosteroid hormones and stopping the medication, you can’t suddenly stop at once, but must slowly reduce, so that the adrenal glands in the body have the process of re-secretion.
