Cervical fluid-based cytology TCT, which is recommended once a year on a regular basis, is recommended in the presence of normal TCT findings. Cervical fluid-based cytology TCT shows atypical squamous epithelial cells, and HPV testing is recommended to determine the presence of human papillomavirus infection. If necessary, colposcopic cervical biopsy is required to rule out the possibility of precancerous lesions. If the biopsy result is negative, vaginal plugs can be performed and TCT can be repeated half-yearly to determine whether there is persistent precancerous lesions. If possible, the combination of TCT and HPV will have an accuracy rate of 98% and can better screen for the presence of cervical cancer.
